2021 Church Theme
As we all re-emerge from our pandemic isolation, many things look familiar, but different.
Our sermon theme this year studies the book of Acts. This book describes the spread of the Good News about Jesus in the early years after Jesus’ death and resurrection. The apostles and other disciples traveled through a world that was familiar, but now looked different due to their faith in Jesus.
This theme invites us over the course of the year consider our priorities. Which of our past practices and ideas don’t seem as important any more? And which values does God want us to emphasize in our “new world”?
“I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.” Acts 10:34-35
